Merry Christmas!

Has it been THAT long since I've updated?...  in any case, just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas... and a Happy New Year!

Early Morning

I'm finally back in the States... not quite home yet, but close enough for now.  And jetlagged  

I'm in Houston, visiting my family...only one day and I can already see the slight differences in lifestyle here vs. California; the weather is a huge factor (this is a lot more humid than I'm used to, like almost 100% more =P)  But it's great to be back in the States...  And its even light outside at this time, where else in Belgium, it would still be dark, no joke.

So, I'm now sick, feeling all achy, but in kitchen here on my laptop and my mom is making waffles for me!  Haha, I feel like such a kid   Too bad they haven't bought a tv here, yet - or you would see me all sick and whining sitting in front it.

So, this may be the last of my business trips - after about a year and a half of flying back and forth from the US and Belgium, I may finally get some stability at home and a life .
As I was riding back to the hotel on the bus today, I realized that part of me will miss it here (not that I'm going to change my mind about going home).  But it was an odd feeling, considering how much I have complained about these travels.

Hard to believe I have been living a total of 11 months in a foreign country.  So, with that I guess its time to say goodbye to Brussels.  Its been good... maybe a lot longer than I would have wanted, but an experience.  And who knows, with my company, they might end up shipping me back again or elsewhere... but let's not hope for it too much

So, one more day of work here.  Will be a real busy one.  Flying out the day after to Texas to visit family... it'll be as close to a vacation I've gotten in years.
